Stephen is originally from Cumberland, MD. He was exposed to music at an early age from his father who played the organ for nursing homes and community functions and had Stephen and his brothers play along side him on their respective instruments. Stephen graduated from Frostburg State University in 1991 with a Music Education degree. He then returned to earn his Master of Education degree in Guidance & Counseling in 1997.

Stephen left us unexpectedly to return to Cumberland to help his aging mother and to be close to family in the summer of 2001. Stephen is grateful for the great music and friendship that was made while he was with us. He now is working as a band director at Bishop Walsh school in Cumberland, MD and lives in that area with his wife Sonya and his 1 year old son, John.
